Aim:
The aim of this course module is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to safely carry out non-domestic gas-fired space heating and hot water installations in accordance with applicable standards, legislation and guidelines, whilst working on their own initiative or in a supervisory capacity.
Objectives:
On successful completion of this course the participants will have acquired an extensive insight into non-domestic gas space heating and hot water installations and will have the acquired the skills and knowledge to safely carry out non-domestic gas works on same.

Unit 1: Introduction
Unit 2: Legislation and standards
Unit 3: Ventilation & flues in relation to space heating & hot water installations
Unit 4: Maintenance & repair of space heating & hot water installations, appliances and equipment
Unit 5: Electrical testing and safety of space heating & hot water installations
Unit 6: Chimneys and flues in relation to space heating and hot water installations
Unit 7: Maintenance and repair of space heating & hot water installations
Unit 8: Safety Assessments of space heating & hot water installations
Unit 9: Decommissioning of space heating & hot water appliances and equipment
Unit 10: Practical Workshop

Transfer and progression:
