Gas & Oil Trainer & Assessor
Pat is a qualified plumber with vast experience in the gas & Oil industry (both commercial and domestic) solid fuel and wood pellet boilers. Pat has over 35 years’ experience in the plumbing and heating industry, he owns his own servicing, commissioning and repairs company in Cork. Pat also carries out warranty work for manufacturers in the industry. Pat joined the METAC team in 2014 and is a qualified trainer and assessor. He enjoys training candidates and meeting new and existing people in the gas, oil and solid fuel industries.
Gas & Oil Trainer & Assessor (Domestic & Commercial)
Neil has worked in the gas and oil heating industry since 1995. He trained as a plumbing apprentice specialising in installation, service and repair of heating appliances. He currently runs a successful heating engineering firm with his wife Veronica. Neil delivers a Domestic Service Course on behalf METAC Training and brings a very practical focused slant on the course. “If I were taking this course myself I’d like to be working on boilers as much as possible.”
Electrical & Renewable Energy Trainer
Tadhg is a qualified electrician with merit, with over 12 years’ experience in the domestic, industrial and commercial electrical industries. Having a keen interest in renewable energy and energy conservation he undertook Bachelor of Science degrees in the fields of “Renewable and Electrical Energy Systems” and “Sustainable Energy Management” at Limerick Institute of Technology upon completion of his apprenticeship. Tadhg first came to METAC in 2012 to train electrical and renewable energy courses on a part time basis, while still working in industry. He has since become a full time trainer at METAC and enjoys creating a relaxed and interactive learning experience for all candidates.
Alf has been a professional photographer for over 30 years and has a wealth of experience in real life settings. “As a professional photographer and not trained as a tutor, I am sharing my life experience along with my skills to bring your photographic talents to the fore. This is a proven preferred method by many worldwide and I expect you do not want or need lessons in physics or engineering.” You can view Alf’s work here.
