Non-Domestic Gas – Power Generation and CHP Installations (Elective Module)
Aim:
The aim of this module is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to safely carry out non-domestic gas-fired power generation and combined heat and power (CHP) installations in accordance with applicable standards, legislation and guidelines, whilst working on their own initiative or in a supervisory capacity.
Objectives:
On successful completion of this course participants will have acquired an extensive insight into non-domestic gas power generation and CHP installations and will have the acquired the skills and knowledge to safely carry out non-domestic gas works on same.

Unit 1: Introduction
Unit 2: Legislation and standards
Unit 3: Ventilation & flues in relation to power generation & CHP installations
Unit 4: Maintenance & repair of power generation & CHP installations, appliances and equipment
Unit 5: Electrical testing and safety of power generation & CHP installations
Unit 6: Chimneys and Flues in relation to power generation & CHP installations
Unit 7: Maintenance and Repair of power Generation & CHP installations
Unit 8: Safety Assessments power generation & CHP installations
Unit 9: Decommissioning of power generation & CHP appliances and equipment
Unit 10: Practical Workshop
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: QQI 6N20521 Minor Award in Domestic Gas & Pipework Safety Level 6
DURATION: Minimum of 4 Days

Application forms with all details including payment must be completed before training/assessment commences. Two recent photographs(passport style and size in colour) must be submitted with each application.
Transfer and progression:
